Reminder that we also calculate the average prices for items based on the weekly ad for all locations or with prices averaged out from CashWiseDelivers.com. MEAL ONE: BLT Salads

Meal Plan Day 1

Bacon makes everything better! And this salad is no exception.

What You’ll Need:

  • 2.5 Lb. Sugardale Thick Sliced Hickory Smoked Bacon – $4.44

MEAL TWO: Sausage Quesadillas

Plain old quesadillas will never be the same once you’ve tried this recipe!

Sausage Quesadillas

Ingredients
  • 8 (9-inch) Flour Tortillas
  • ¼ Cup Chopped Fresh Green Chiles
  • 2 Cups (8 oz.) Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
  • ¼ Cup Sliced Green Onion(s)
  • 1 (1-lb.) Pkg. Original Pork Sausage Roll
  • 1 Cup Thick and Chunky Salsa
  • 2 Tbsp Fresh Cilantro, chopped
Instructions
  1. Brown sausage, stirring to break apart; drain and set aside.
  2. Brush one side of one tortilla with water. Place tortilla, moistened side down, on heated griddle or large skillet. Spread about ¼ cup salsa on the tortilla. Sprinkle tortilla with ¼ of the sausage, green onion, green chiles, cilantro and cheese. Cover with second tortilla; brush top with water. Press down top of the tortilla slightly.
  3. Turn quesadilla when the bottom tortilla is lightly browned and crisp. Brown the second side of tortilla; remove from griddle. Cut into 8 wedges. Repeat process with remaining ingredients.

MEAL SIX: Potato Bacon Pizza

Meal Plan Day 6

This recipe combines pizza with bacon… what’s not to love?

Potato Bacon Pizza
 
Ingredients
  • 4 Red Potatoes, thinly sliced, or more to taste
  • 4 Strips Bacon, or more to taste
Sauce
  • ½ Cup Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 1 tsp Minced Garlic, or to taste
  • ¾ Cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
Instructions
  1. Place potato slices in a deep skillet and cover with 1 inch of water. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer until just tender, about 5 minutes. Drain; set aside to cool.
  2. Place bacon slices in a large skillet and cook over medium-high heat, turning occasionally, until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Drain bacon slices on paper towels; set aside to cool.
  3. Heat cream, butter, and garlic together in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until butter is melted, about 5 minutes. Add Parmesan cheese; stir until melted. Reduce heat to low and simmer sauce, uncovered, until thick, about 5 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, Prepare pizza crusts according to package directions.
  5. Bake crusts in preheated oven until lightly golden, about 5 minutes. Remove from oven and spread sauce over both crusts. Cover sauce with potato slices. Crumble bacon slices over potatoes and cover with mozzarella cheese.
  6. Bake pizzas until crusts are golden brown and cheese is bubbly, about 10 minutes.

MEAL SEVEN: Ramen Noodle Chicken Stir Fry

This stir fry is incredibly tasty and versatile! Add in some carrots or other veggies to cater to your family’s taste.

Ramen Noodle Chicken Stir Fry
 
Ingredients
Sauce
  • ½ cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 2 drops hot pepper sauce (I subbed Sriracha hot chili sauce)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ cup water
Stir Fry
  • 2 Tablespoons Olive or Peanut Oil
  • 1 large boneless chicken breast, cubed
  • 1 (3oz.) package Ramen Noodles
  • ¾ cup diced red bell pepper
  • ¾ cup diced yellow onion
  • 1 cup baby carrots, sliced in half
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
Instructions
  1. Combine all ingredients for peanut sauce. Take half of sauce to marinade chicken in, and set the rest aside. If you can only marinade the chicken for a few minutes, that’s completely okay!
  2. Place marinated chicken in a small frying pan over medium heat and sauté for about 10-15 minutes, or until cooked through.
  3. Meanwhile, cook Ramen Noodles for no more than 1.5 - 2 minutes, (toss away the flavor packet). Drain, return to pot and coat with the peanut sauce you set aside.
  4. In a large frying pan, heat peanut oil and vegetables over medium heat for about 10 minutes. Stir in chicken and Ramen noodles and continue to cook until the vegetables are tender. Serve and enjoy!
