The start of a new year is always an exciting and busy time. Our New Year’s Resolution is to keep creating great weekly meal plans that save both time and money! 

As always, keep in mind that your grocery list may vary slightly from ours depending on what you need for this week’s meals or what you do not already have on hand that we do from previously meal planning creations, as well as diet restrictions or alterations to our recipes. Reminder that we also calculate the average prices for items based on the weekly ad for all locations or with prices averaged out from CashWiseDelivers.com. MEAL ONE: Easy Honey Garlic Chicken

Meal Plan Day 1

This baked chicken is loaded with flavor and you’ll love how easy is it to make.

Easy Honey Garlic Baked Chicken
Serves: 4-6
 
Ingredients
  • 3 Lbs. Chicken Leg Quarters, with skin (about 4 legs quarters)
  • 4 Cloves Garlic, minced
  • ¼ Cup Honey
  • 2 Tbsp Dark Soy Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp White Vinegar
Instructions
  1. Heat oven to 400ºF.
  2. Line a baking dish with aluminium foil (optional); set aside.
  3. Layer chicken legs on the baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl combine garlic, honey, soy, and vinegar. Whisk until fully combined.
  5. Pour mixture onto chicken legs, coating evenly.
  6. Bake 40-45 minutes or until skin is crisp and caramlized and chicken is cooked through.

Ingredients
  • 1 Package Polska Kielbasa
  • 10.75 Oz. Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1¼ Cup Milk
  • ¼ Cup Onion, chopped
  • 1½ Tsp Prepared Yellow Mustard
  • 14 Oz. Sauerkraut, rinsed and drained
  • 8 Oz. Uncooked Egg Noodles (About 4 Cups)
  • 1 Cup Shredded Swiss Cheese
  • ½ Cup Bread Crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp Butter, melted
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Cut sausage in ½” slices. Stir together soup, milk, onion and mustard in medium bowl.
  2. Spread sauerkraut on bottom of lightly greased 13 x 9-inch baking dish. Place noodles on top of sauerkraut, pressing down lightly. Pour soup mixture evenly over top of noodles. Lay sliced sausage on top of soup; sprinkle with cheese.
  3. Combine bread crumbs and butter in small bowl; sprinkle over cheese. Cover tightly with aluminum foil. Bake 1 hour or until noodles are tender.

Slow cooker meals are quick, easy and delicious.

 
Ingredients
  • 2-3 Lb. Beef Roast
  • Salt & Pepper, to taste
  • 1 Packet Dry Onion Soup Mix
  • 1 Cup Water
  • 3-5 Whole Carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 4-6 Potatoes, peeled and cubed
Instructions
  1. Season roast with salt and pepper.
  2. Brown on all sides in large skillet over high heat, about 4 minutes per side.
  3. Place roast in slow cooker followed by remaining ingredients.
  4. Cover and cook on low setting for 6-8 hours or until cooked through and vegetables are soft.
